Judgement
Your masterpiece will be judged on the following five categories:
I. The Idea: is the core idea fresh, provocative, and interesting? – for example originality, melodic hook, and how well the submission responds to the challenge. (/10)
II. Creative Content: extra points for (eg) weird, unconventional, or surprises. (/10)
III. The vibe of the thing: does the track take us on a journey? Does it build and release tension effectively? (/10)
IV. Production Skill: songwriting and arrangement decisions. Does it sound like a finished product? Are the levels correct? Is there excessive ‘mud’ or clipping? (/10)
V. Accountability: even if it is a turd, do we get a sense that you LOVED that turd? (/10)
